Laurie Field has been a true asset to the contracting department over the past year. Since the retirement of a colleague, Laurie has stepped in to take on an advanced role in the Contracting group. Her level of energy and commitment to the organization are commended.
Walt is commended for his many years of service not only to UBS, but to the University community as a whole. His knowledge of construction and friendly demeanor has allowed him to build a positive relationship with internal and external customers alike. He is a real team player and he will truly be missed after his retirement on April 30, 2021.
Amy consistently goes above and beyond to provide excellent support to the Technology team. She has assisted with building some of the best technology contracts available in the public sector procurement space. She manages a large workload while balancing a variety of complex technology contracts for many UConn stakeholders. For this, she is commended.
Since arriving at UConn, Kannan he has shown interest and willingness to learn the University and State of CT purchasing policies, procedures and working environment. He goes above and beyond to ensure that customers receive the attention they need and has made great strides in realizing cost savings since his arrival. He is a valued member of the Technology team

After being at UConn for only a few months, she has been able to quickly build rapport with internal and external stakeholders, assist with resolution of a backload of issues and provide continued support to the technology community.
Jill Petrello is also recognized for her excellent work and positive impact on the Technology team. Some of you may not know, Jill has stepped up and has been assisting the Technology team, serving as a Buyer I, since we began working remotely last spring ('20).
Jeff Ward is recognized for his excellent work and continued dedication to Surplus Operations. Even while working remotely, he has been able to continue to increase sales through GovDeals, earning over $100k in just a few months.
David is recognized for his excellent customer service skills and continued willingness to go above and beyond to assist others through the organization. His broad knowledge and ability to juggle multiple projects at once made him an integral part of many successful endeavors over this past year.
